The Fitna of Al-Andalus (1009–1031) was a period of civil war that fragmented the once-unified Caliphate of Córdoba into numerous independent kingdoms. This era of division and rivalry set the stage for a cultural renaissance, where art and science flourished amidst the chaos.

Each shirt is accompanied by a hand-screen-printed tag featuring the 'Cordova Fitna FC' logo designed and screen printed by Sophia Al-Maria in Arabic calligraphy reading Cordo-V-a with a Farsi ‘V' adding yet another hybrid layer to the piece. These tags are not just labels but pieces of art in their own right, suitable for framing. The kits can also be framed.

By donning a Cordova Fitna FC shirt, you're not just making a fashion statement; you're embracing a piece of history, celebrating the beauty that can emerge from division, and showcasing the enduring spirit of spaces like this one.

Inspired by this historical schism, each Fitna FC shirt is a unique amalgamation of two different football team kits, meticulously sewn together. This design symbolizes the merging of distinct identities, much like the kingdoms of Al-Andalus emerging from the Fitna. Adding a playful nod to personal expression, our shirts come with optional nipple tassels, bells and pearl-laden epaulettes as well as a custom CORDOVA nameplate. Whether you choose to wear them on one side, both, or not at all, these tassels allow you to tailor your look to your mood, echoing the dynamic and ever-changing nature of Cordova!
